When I was finally diagnosed with Lyme disease, multiple coinfections, active EBV, and mold illness — 22 years after my first Lyme exposure — I felt terrified, overwhelmed, and completely lost.
It was a moldy apartment in 2016 that triggered everything into motion and finally led to answers after decades of unexplained symptoms. Decades of being dismissed. Decades of being told it was something else.
I know what it feels like to be invisible inside a medical system that doesn't have answers for you. I know what it feels like when your body becomes a stranger and every decision about your health carries impossible weight. And I know what it feels like to wonder if you'll ever feel like yourself again.
That lived experience is the foundation of everything I do at Inner Balance HQ.
After my diagnosis, I did what most people do — I researched obsessively, tried everything, and made decisions frequently from a place of panic. It took years before I understood that the missing piece wasn't another protocol or practitioner. It was learning to stabilize my nervous system first so I could think clearly enough to navigate my own recovery.
That realization — that healing happens faster in a calm state of being — became the SID Method™ and the foundation of Inner Balance HQ. I built this coaching practice because I needed something like it during the hardest years of my illness, and it didn't exist.
I'm not here to tell you what treatment to choose or which doctor to see. I'm here to help you calm your system down enough so you can make those decisions — with clarity, confidence, and self-trust — so when you decide on a doctor or treatment, you aren't second guessing yourself!
Being a Complex Chronic Illness Recovery Coach didn't just happen one day. It has been years of experience and learning that brought me here.
I hold a Master of Arts in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado — a program rooted in the integration of mind, body, and spirit in the healing process. While I no longer maintain an active counseling practice, my clinical training deeply informs how I work with clients today.
I also spent four years at Boulder Community Hospital's Integrative Care Center, providing Reiki sessions working alongside medical teams to support patients receiving cancer treatment. That experience taught me what it looks like to hold space for people in the most frightening moments of their health journey — and how powerful calm, grounded presence can be when someone's world feels out of control.
Before coaching, I built a career in the natural and organic products industry with extensive training in nutritional supplements, many of which are utilized with Lyme disease, coinfections, mold illness and C.I.R.S. (Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome).
All of this, plus my lived experience with the above health concerns, has given me a practical understanding of the wellness landscape my clients are navigating — the supplements, the protocols, the overwhelming number of options, the mis-information — which helps me meet them where they are without judgment.

My work complements medical care — it doesn't replace it.

When I'm not coaching, I'm napping, container gardening, writing, cooking with my husband, or playing with my Bernese Mountain Dog in the mountains of East Tennessee — always dodging ticks.
Why I'm Here
I'm here to be the steady ground I didn't have. A calm presence. A guide who understands. A companion on a path that feels terrifying when you walk it alone.
